Junior Forest Explorers Program

Junior Forest Explorers (Primary School)

Designed for Primary School students (Ages ~6-12), this program introduces the forest as a living ecosystem through fun, interactive, and sensory-rich activities. Students engage all their senses to discover local plants, animals, and natural processes. Activities include scavenger hunts, simple biodiversity observations, and practical conservation actions like nature clean-ups or seedling nurturing, promoting curiosity and early environmental care.

Core Activities: Sensory Forest Discovery, Meet Our Forest Neighbors, Foresters in Training, Ngubi Forest Scavenger Hunt (basic).

Ecosystem Discoverers Program

Ecosystem Discoverers (Secondary School)

A deeper dive for Secondary School students (Ages ~13-18), combining scientific observation with immersive challenges. Students develop basic data collection skills for flora, fauna (including Ngubi's 74 bird species and 26 mammal species), and invertebrates, exploring ecological connections and engaging in a stimulating conservation hackathon challenge.

Core Activities: Biodiversity Field Investigations, Advanced Ngubi Trail Quest, Conservation in Action (e.g., Tree Planting, Citizen Science).

Biodiversity & Conservation Leadership Program

Biodiversity & Conservation Leadership (College/University)

Targeting college and university students (Ages 18+), this program nurtures future conservation leaders. It includes applied biodiversity assessment methods (e.g., citizen science protocols for avifauna monitoring), critical analysis of ecosystem threats, and culminates in an intensive Conservation Innovation Challenge (hackathon) to propose actionable solutions to real-world problems in Ngubi Forest.

Core Activities: Applied Biodiversity Assessment, Data Synthesis & Debrief, Conservation Innovation Challenge.
