On Saturday, 10th October 2026, Mazingira Day, Ngubi Adventures Forest Camp will host its first Ngubi Forest Trail Run, set inside the 100-year-old cedar forest of the Kikuyu Escarpment. The run is organised into three categories: a 5km Family Fun Run for beginners and children, a 10km Intermediate route, and a 15km Elite course for more experienced trail runners, with 300 to 500 participants expected across the morning.

Alongside the run, participants will plant over 1,000 tree seedlings in areas of the forest identified together with our partners, Kijabe Forest Trust and the Kenya Forest Service, as part of 10,000 trees planned for the ongoing restoration work in the region. Decathlon Kenya has already come on board as a partner for the event, and we are currently in looking for and in conversation with other corporate partners across three sponsorship tiers to help make the day a success.
